Why shouldnt you brush your hair after taking off the do rag when developing 360 waves?

I just got a hair cut (dark ceaser with the grain) and before that I have been brushing since holloween and I am still training my hair to stay down, but now I just found out that you shouldnt brush your hair after you take off your do rag, whats that about! Why shouldnt you brush your hair after taking off the do rag when developing 360 waves?
There's a lot of debate on that and my best advice for you is to keep brushing at all. You have to train your hair and keep brushing to form the wave pattern. Whenever you're not using your durag, you should be brushing. It takes a lot of brushing and that's one thing that you can't stop doing. The durag keeps your hair tight and keeps the wave pattern together. Always brush! You'll need it!Why shouldnt you brush your hair after taking off the do rag when developing 360 waves?
Hi There,

I'm Samuelel, I'm a top stylist and hairdresser associated with the Francesco Salons Group.

In the salon when a client asks for curly hair, what i normally do is take the head wrap off and then blow dry it properly straight down.

After this i section it off and then use either straighteners (really good for big 360 curls) or big curlers and curl it off.

It's better to brush it through because it takes out any knots and also when curling it, your cuticles in your hair is straightened down, so you won't get random strands of hair sticking out of the curls and the curls will then look nice, firm and hopefully depending on serums and shampoos and conditioners used... shiny.

Hope I've Helped.

you should brush your hair when you take off the do-rag especially if your waves aren't really defined yet that's what i do and my waves are sweet.
