How do you know which way to brush your hair? (Guys)?

I have always been wondering this but does it matter which way you brush you hair? and what I mean by that is brushing it the the left or right cause this has always confused me and if it does matter how can you tell which way your head is meant to be brushed.How do you know which way to brush your hair? (Guys)?
Well i push it to my right, always have always will, and now i have a nice look about it with a side fringe and all. If you keep pusshing it one way it will train your hair to always go that way like mine wont loook good on the left./How do you know which way to brush your hair? (Guys)?
