Is it ok to brush your hair when its wet?

i dont kno if its ok to brush your hair when its wet so can some one answer that for me :)Is it ok to brush your hair when its wet?
I think as long as you don't use a bristle brush you'll be ok. If you use a vent brush it will be fine, it's not different to a wide toothed comb.Is it ok to brush your hair when its wet?
No, a brush stretches the hair and causes it to break. Use a wide toothed comb.
It's terrible to brush your hair when it's wet. When your hair is wet it's vulnerable to breakage and snaps easily and using a brush only pulls it out. Using a very wide toothed comb is the best way to comb wet hair and start combing from the ends and work your way up to your scalp, DON'T comb from your scalp down 2 the ends when your hair is wet because it also pulls your hair out and breaks it off. Working your way up from the ends removes all the tangles with the least amount of stress to your hair. If you can, just towel dry and wait until it's completely dry to comb it is ulitmately the healthiest for your hair as even with a comb there will occasionally be some breakage to strands that are already damaged and weakened.
wet hair can easily break. use of a comb is best.
Causes split ends fo show
you're not supposed to. hir is 33% more sensite when wet which means your hair falls out easier. try combing it instead.
No - you should always use a wide tooth comb, also called a shampoo comb or a tint comb, when your hair is wet. Wet hair can stretch from 50 to 70 percent (for real - i was surprised when i learned this as well) when it is wet and can easily break
brushing while wet only breaks it. this is when the hair is weak.
if u must use a wide tooth comb or a brush thst has bristles that are seperated.....
Definitly No...Blow Dry first sweetheart...then you can brush away dont forget the ';Detangler!';
Not really, because it is weaker and more prone to breakage when wet. The more it breaks, the more flyaways you have.
Nope it breaks the hair. Use a comb
Use a wide-toothed comb, less breakage.
VERY GOOD QUESTION. Fortunately for me, I have a mom that is a cosmetologist and who used to work at a salon. She told me early on that it is terrible to brush your hair when it is wet. It leads to split ends and soooo much breakage.

You need a wide toothed plastic comb. Also, start at the bottom of your hair and work your way up. It will be a lot less painful that way! Don't forget to use conditioner and then you won't have so many painful snarles! =)
It's better if you use a comb.

I do it before I style my hair so I can get the tangles out of it.
you shouldnt really, the brush breaks the hair. i have curly hair and never brush it unless i am straightening it. then i wait until my hair is damp. but if you must, try buying a leave in conditioner, i use the j %26amp; j no more tears for kids. it smells awesome
Ya! I do it all the time! It is a lot easier to brush when wet rather than when dry! And my hair is beautiful! Everyone is always like '; How did you get your hair sooo smooth?';
yes
No, bad for the hair, a wide tooth comb is best
Yes. It's also okay to brush your hair when it is dry. Also, when it gets all mussed up. Generally, though ... it's okay to brush your hair.
yes its ok and i think in makes hair less messy
No I would use a comb. When you do comb it well it is wet start from the bottom to the top because then you won't pull a lot of your hair out.
U should really comb it when it's wet.
For me its ok to brush ur hair when its wet its easier to get those tangled knots out of ur hair
Duh!!!! Why wouldn't it??????????????
you should use a comb a brush can cause your hair to break
it will break ur hair. u should use a comb!!

dont use a brush. use a comb 2 get rid the tangles
No. You can damage it when its wet. If you need to, use a wide tooth comb and brush from the bottom up.
brushing your hair when it's wet can really damage your hair. try using a wide tooth comb while drying.
