Yes i think it is. I've heard when your hair is wet it stretches so when you brush it, it will break your hair. So get a good wide tooth comb to use when your hair is wet.

I've heard that hair is weaker when it's wet because the water causes it to expand. But I've had no problems combing wet hair.

i think that it is a good thing. i do it everyday. it does help get out your knots.
