Is it true if you brush your hair a 100 times a day it will grow faster?

i know that the hairs on your head grow slowly and they grow around 1cm a month [ i think .. ] but is it true that if you bush your hair a hundred times a day it wil grow a bit quicker? Is it true if you brush your hair a 100 times a day it will grow faster?
While running a brush through your hair has the benefits of distributing natural oils from the scalp to your ends, and somewhat increasing circulation of blood to the scalp, 100 times is very excessive, and is likely to cause more harm then good. 10-15 strokes a day with a quality bristle (I personally like boar-bristle) should suffice. This will not help your hair to grow quicker (hair grows approx. 1/2 inch per month), but the stimulation to the scalp will help quality hair to grow in, and spreading natural oils to your ends will help to keep them healthier, which in the long run prevents splitting, which could make your hair appear like it is not growing. Is it true if you brush your hair a 100 times a day it will grow faster?
or you could go bald quicker, brush away and let's see
myth
No, over brushing your hair will actualy damage it.
No, brushing your hair 100 times a day will actually damage it.

A hundred years ago women did this, but they didn't sustain as much damage to their hair as we do now.

Taking Biotin is suppose to make your hair grow faster. It's pretty easy to find and safe.
haha well Marsha Brady seemed to think so.
no

suppose to just help with the shine and softness from what i hear
no, ull actually lose more hair from the brush pulling it out.
not true

its 1/2 inch per month

no matter what
No, but if you brush your hair in the shower with conditioner, that will supposely make hair grow longer.
no.

all brushing does is untangle

and encourage natural oils to surface faster (ie if you brush your hair 100 times after you washed and dried it, when you've done brushing it you'll have dirty hair again =])
