Yes you want to PREVENT breakage and if your brushing your hair when its wet it will break try using wide toothed comes.
I've always been told crappy brushes pull your hair out but when your hair is wet you shouldn't use any kind of brush. Instead you are supposed to use a wide-toothed comb or pick or something like that. I just use my fingers and it works great.

no it isnt bad just use a brush with wide opening or teeth or a wide toothed comb would be best so u dont pull alot of hair out
Brushing your hair when it is wet, especially if it is tangled at all, can cause breakage. The best thing to do is take a comb and comb through it in sections gently. If you must brush it, make sure all the knots are out first
